Dermody, Burke & Brown, CPAs, LLC participated in a “Hands Only” CPR training on Tuesday, June 3rd in support of CPR & AED Awareness Week, June 1^st-7^th.  Mike DiGiovanni, from the American Heart Association, performed a live CPR demonstration at the office of DB&B to teach employees how to be prepared for a sudden cardiac emergency. 

Sudden Cardiac Arrest is a leading cause of death in the United States, with nearly 360,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occurring annually. “As part of our ongoing wellness initiative, we believe it is important to raise awareness of CPR at DB&B and hope to help increase the survival rate of cardiac victims in the process,” said Madelyn Hornstein, Chief Executive Officer at Dermody, Burke & Brown, CPAs, LLC.
