Individual Tax Associate

Dermody, Burke & Brown is seeking an organized, eager to learn and motivated candidate for the Individual Tax Associate position, with growth opportunities to Individual Tax Supervisor.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of individual tax returns (including basic and complex)
  • Learn and employ individual tax laws
  • Analyze, research, and summarize client tax situations
  • Complete tax planning projects
  • Recognize and recommend opportunities for tax savings
  • Grow into a supervisor position that will include: recruiting, training, managing, and growing a team of associates and seasonal interns


  • Associates Degree in Accounting, a minimum (or in progress)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Ability to learn new technology skills quickly
  • Cooperative team player
  • Highly organized
  • Client-centric approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office
